Ghosts seemed to lurk everywhere

When suddenly he became aware
Of a cloaked figure on his steed
Headless and terrifying
Ichabod took off in a flash
The horseman reared and leapt onto the path
Ichabod held on for dear life
Looking back, paralyzed with fright

The next day Ichabod was gone
They found his hat and horse after dawn
When they tell the tale of the ghostly race
There’s a wicked smile on Brom Bones’ face
Where oh where did Ichabod go?
Did he just run away? We’ll never know
